Melbourne

Been in Melbourne for more than 6 weeks. Things (eating out, books, stationary, clothing, shoes, etc) here are expensive if directly compared in RM. But, how can I compare? It's different. Even the malaysian food here taste different. They have their own local taste here, and that doesn't imply that they taste bad.

Walking is part of life here. Part of my life now and everyone else who don't have a personal vehicle. It is an opportunity to stay fit, I must say. My legs will get stronger. I get to enjoy the scenery while I walk around, and every houses here have their own layout and architecture, which makes walking more interesting.

Here I am, still without internet at home. Really inconvinient for me. I wanted to surf the net, talking to my family on skype, and post more frequently :P Yes, I plan to post more pictures here. Hopefully soon, I will choose to sign up for unwired.

Anyhow, it's windy today. Very very windy. The wind is just that strong, that it almost blow me away :P Got to get home now. Be safe.

Happy Chinese New Year. Wishing you all a very prosperous year. It's the year of the rat, and you know what that means? Well, just ask Jerry. Jerry, the mouse, who's always out-smarted Tom (the cat) in the end. So, in the year of the rat, I wish that you all can overcome any obstacles in life.

Internship

In case you're wondering, this is how I'd spent my holidays. For the past 9 weeks, I'd been watching airplanes taking off and landing during the weekdays. But that's not the only thing that I did, it's more than that. However, I'm going to share some pictures here.

My doggy (search companion)......fixed!

A few days ago, I noticed that my windows xp's search companion stopped functioning. When I tried to search for a file, only the dog appeared and the "What do you want to search for?" dialog box disappeared. That part of the sidebar was empty. Here's how I'd fixed it.

I googled around for missing search companion and found this. If that microsoft support page solved your problem, then you're in luck. But, it didn't work for me.


There seems to be a problem with reregistering Jscript.dll so I googled again for jscript.dll registering problems, and found this page. What I had done is, resetting the entire registry permissions to defaults and then reregister with:


regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\jscript.dll


Then, everything's back to normal and I can ask my doggy to sniff out the file that I'd long forgotten its whereabouts d;)
